Expedition Film Company, LLC (EFC) was founded by Chapman Film Production alumnus Braden Joe in 2016. With bases in Boston, Massachusetts and Los Angeles, California, the film company believes in the fusion of narrative and documentary film-making to share powerful stories. My Favorite Ex is a sitcom series that follows Delaney and Derek, two best friends who live together in LA. The story highlights their wild adventures throughout their early 20s while also capturing the innocence of their middle school romance told through flashbacks. The logo consists of Expedition Film Company’s acronym in the shape of a camera. The “E” and “F” letters mirror each other to form the camera body, while the “C” is smaller and centered to act as the camera lens. A production photo taken on Melrose is used as the focal point of the poster to capture the charming, witty mood of the plot. The series title is modified to appear like a neon sign hanging on the brick wall behind the main characters. Modern sans serif typefaces are used for all credits to evoke contemporary sophistication. Light yellow and blue were used in the photoshoot art direction to complement the pink title.
