Nissin Foods was established in Japan in 1948 by Momofuku Ando as Chuko Sosha. Nissin Cup Noodles is a reliable and timeless food brand across generations that aims to be perceived as a healthy alternative through this sub-brand. SMARTNOODS uses the tagline “Noods to feel good about” to catch the eyes of college students who will appreciate this humor. Chopsticks are featured above the “O” to emphasize the Asian roots of ramen noodles. All creative assets of SMARTNOODS use yellow, black, and white to keep the sub-brand contemporary. A bold sans serif is used to create a striking contrast against the thin noodle line pattern. The noodle pattern wraps around the white cup to encourage food association. Instagram and Pinterest ads are utilized because these are the apps most frequently used by our target audience: college students.
